Akshiv Malhotra, MD

Dr. Akshiv Malhotra is a hematologist-oncologist who cares for patients with cancer and blood disorders. His expertise includes multiple myeloma, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, prostate cancer and gastrointestinal cancers.

Malhotra earned his medical degree at DY Patil University School of Medicine in India. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Cincinnati. 

Malhotra's research has focused on treatments for cancers and blood disorders. 

Malhotra is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

Malhotra spends his time away from the clinic with his wife and young daughter. They enjoy the outdoors – hiking, exploring and traveling to national parks. Malhotra's other interests include playing board games, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, watching cricket and working out at CrossFit Oakland.
