Annual voting for U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals” and “Best Children’s Hospitals” physician survey occurs in late February through March. Physicians who are board-certified in one of the specialties are eligible to vote. Online voting occurs through Doximity.com and is available to physicians (MD and DO) registered on Doximity prior to November 1, 2020. For physicians who are not registered, a random sample of paper surveys are mailed. If you receive one of the paper surveys, we strongly encourage you to return it as it is weighted more heavily than online votes.
To vote online, follow these steps:
We encourage all voting-eligible UCSF School of Medicine faculty, graduates, residents and fellows to complete your survey supporting UCSF. Your continued support of UCSF Medical Center is much appreciated.
Registration on Doximity is a one-time only requirement. If you already have claimed your profile you are not required to register again. However, it is always a good idea to confirm that your profile has your current contact information and board-certification.
To check your registration on Doximity:
Physicians who are board-certified in one of U.S. News & World Report’s 16 adult and 10 pediatric specialty areas and who have a Doximity profile by the November deadline are eligible to receive the online survey. Users of Doximity who join the site after the date, or who are not registered on Doximity, are eligible for the paper version of the survey which is mailed to a small random sample of physicians.
This table shows the specialty/subspecialty categories considered eligible for last year’s survey by U.S. News and Doximity.
