Ravinder Brar MD MPH
Pediatric orthopedic surgeon
Dr. Ravinder Brar is an orthopedic surgeon who cares for children with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures and other bone or muscle injuries, scoliosis, cerebral palsy, skeletal dysplasia and other deformities, and hip conditions.
Brar's clinical research interests include traumatic injuries, cerebral palsy and scoliosis, as well as how to improve treatment and outcomes for children with orthopedic conditions. She is also interested in international health work.
Brar earned her master of public health degree from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She earned her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in orthopedic surgery. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Hospital.
Brar joined UCSF's pediatric orthopedic surgery team in 2016. She belongs to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
