Pediatric emergency care physician

Sonny Tat, MD MPH

Dr. Sonny Tat is a pediatric emergency medicine specialist. His research interests include technology in medical education, decision making in patient care and patient safety. He is on the board of directors of PEMNetwork, a national organization for pediatric emergency doctors dedicated to innovative methods of medical education.

Tat earned his medical degree at the University of Washington and his master of public health degree at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed his residency in pediatrics and chief residency at UCSF. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Children's National Hospital, where he won an award for resident education. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Emergency Physicians and Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
